Astrobiology in a Box
Astrobiology in a Box is a resource created by the UK Centre for Astrobiology to teach concepts in science using astrobiology.
The box contains resources for four classroom activities for 20 students and an instruction kit. It is appropriate for both primary and secondary schools. The activities are ‘Detection of Life Experiment’, ‘Extremophiles and the Limits to Life’, ‘UV Radiation and Damage to Life’ and ‘Pressure and the Limits to Life’.
Although the Astrobiology Academy distributes these boxes to participants in its CPD events, you can make your own Astrobiology in a Box by downloading the instructions below, which contain details on each activity as well as the resources you’ll need to put together the kit.
