UK Centre for Astrobiology

Exoclimateers Group

The Exoclimateers group in the UK Centre for Astrobiology, led by Sarah Rugheimer in the School of Physics and Astronomy, focuses the remote detection of biosignatures in exoplanet atmospheres.

The group primarily does theoretical work in modelling the climate, photochemistry, and radiative transfer of terrestrial exoplanets and in early Earth climate and other potentially habitable Solar System objects like Titan. Potential PhD students should submit their application to the Institute for Astronomy’s PhD program, due early January. Fellowship applicants are typically due earlier in the Fall.
